Antigone

The culmination of a project during which the 15-year-old students did everything from the translation of the text from Greek to English to the direction, costume design, scenery, acting, filming and editing. Antigone is our heroine who symbolizes justice, morality, respect, dignity and, above all, love. She represents many of the ideals of ‘Kalos Kagathos’ and at the same time, opens our eyes to the injustice and cruelty that results from manmade laws and imperfect governments. Each student contributed to this project in their way and to the best of their abilities. This film is a ‘first draft’ as we intend to continue with the project in the coming academic year with a view to giving a live performance for the Erasmus+ meeting in Trikala in April 2019…
