Final project meeting June 25th - July 1st in Trikala, Greece

The final meeting of our 3-year-Erasmus project "Join the European Table" which is gradually coming to an end took place from June 25th till July 1st in Trikala, Greece. Our school had the pleasure to host our partners from France, Hungary, Poland and Spain despite the pandemic restrictions. Unfortunately, due to covid-19 pandemic, no students were allowed during this physical meeting nor were the German teachers because of their national regulations. Therefore, we also organised a virtual meeting where everyone (literally) had the chance to participate both in international groups and at their own pace. The dates for the virtual meeting were more than usual as we needed to wrap up the project, finalise our products, meet the deadlines and finally reach our goals.
We can all see the students' CANVA collaborative poster presentation “YOUR DREAMS AND THEIR DREAMS” as well as all the products throughout the 3 years in our Twinspace on eTwinning: Regarding our physical meeting in our town Trikala, we had the chance to show our partners the benefits of Greek hospitality which we are famous for all around the world. This is the reason why we involved the local council, the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, our Chief Director of Studies, the Archaeological museum in Volos,the Tsitsanis Museum in Trikala and its helpful staff where we broadcast live and showed our project's summary and achievements so far. A live streaming event captured everyone's thrill and intense emotions and transmitted them to all 6 countries participating at the same time in Europe! In other words, we were able to actually sit around our European Table, join forces, exchange viewpoints and ultimately promise that this is not the end. We made an appeal to our expanded audience and said: let’s all stay connected, keep that network alive and make the world a better place – for you, for me, for our students, for the entire human race… ☺
